Princess Sofia

Sofia Kristina Hellqvist was born in Danderyd, Sweden, on December 6, 1984, to Erik and Marie Hellqvist. She has one older sister, Lina and a younger sister, Sara. She co-founded the Project Playground organization that helps underprivileged children in South Africa and Sweden. Her relationship with Prince Carl Philip of Sweden was confirmed in July 2010. Their engagement was announced four years later on June 27, 2014. They wed in the Royal Chapel of Stockholm Palace on June 13, 2015 with young Princess Estelle as a bridesmaid.

Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip have three sons, Prince Alexander, Prince Gabriel, and Prince Julian.
